FastBridge (formerly FAST) in 2014: An incredible year in review

2014 has concluded after a tremendous year of growth and accomplishment for the FastBridge (which grew from the former Formative Assessment System for Teachers, FAST) team and the FastBridge community of schools nationwide.

Our key successes in 2014:  

  • Exceptional growth and expansion nationally.

  • FastBridge is now delivering millions of student assessments annually.

  • Exciting research results:  Ongoing studies are validating that schools using the FastBridge system to engage in Data-Based Decision Making are clearly improving student outcomes.

  • FastBridge added the following new assessments and training tools:

    • earlyMath for universal screening and progress monitoring

    • CBMmath for universal screening and progress monitoring

    • Developmental Milestones screening tools for kindergarten

    • Impact reporting:  A new set of tools were added to the FastBridge reporting engine to help educators evaluate the impact of instruction and curricula used within and across classrooms, grades, schools, and the district.

    • aMath Progress Monitoring
      FastBridge released a suite of computer-administered progress monitoring tools for the purposes of monitoring students' skills in applied math.

    • Training and professional development enhancements
      Designed to further support teachers' learning. FastBridge included numerous on-demand modules to assist teachers with using FastBridge assessments, data, and more.

      Additionally, our ongoing "Ask the Experts" webinar series presented by a panel of national experts provided educators with skills and tools to further augment their ability to support student learning.
